Yele-Mis Yang Endorsed For House District 42B Race By GOP

Local Republicans endorsed Yele-Mis Yang for Minnesota House of Representatives by unanimous acclamation. The convention occurred on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Shoreview branch of the Ramsey County Library. House District 42B includes Vadnais Heights, Little Canada, Gem Lake, and portions of Roseville and Shoreview in the northeast metro suburbs.
Asked why he is running, Yang answered, “Like the rest of the Hmong commu- nity, I am grateful for the gift of a second chance that Minnesota and America have given to us. In return, I will work to further the prosperity and preserve the freedoms of our new home. We must make sure that future generations will ex- perience the American Dream – that tomorrow will be better.”
Yele-Mis is Youth Pastor at Immanuel Assembly of God in St. Paul, a Hmong Christian church. He also serves as a personal care attendant to his mother, a disabled senior citizen. His parents escaped from Laos following the Southeast Asia conflict. Yang, the second youngest of nine children was raised in Saint Paul and now lives in Vadnais Heights. Married to his high school sweetheart, Gina, the Yangs have two children, ages 6 and 3.
