Dear friends,

I am writing to tell you that I will never forget all of the sacrifices that Hmong men, women and children made on behalf of the American pilots during the “Secret War.” Hmong people did all they could to save pilots who were shot down – carrying the pilots on their backs, hiding them, caring for them, feeding them and getting them to safety.

I will NEVER forget all the courage, bravery and sacrifice the Hmong people demonstrated to save American lives. Please know that while many Americans seemed to have forgotten and moved on to other concerns, our supreme bravery and many sacrifices will never be forgotten.

There are many Hmong who gave their lives to help downed American pilots and I, for one, want the entire Hmong community worldwide to know that this will not slip into the vast unknown of historical past.

Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for all you have done – and continue to do – for Americans and America.
