Hmong College Prep Academy recently hosted their annual Career Fair. The morning-long event allowed HCPA students to learn about career options through interacting with professionals from a wide array of occupations.

“Our annual Career Fair provides HCPA students with a hands-on experience to gather more information about a profession in which they are interested,” stated School Superintendent Dr. Christianna Hang.

This year, the HCPA Career Fair featured over 77 professionals from 41 organizations. Companies that took part include Minnesota United FC, St. Paul Police Department, 3M, United States Postal Service, Ziegler Cat, Cooks-St. Paul and the Minnesota House of Representatives.

The Career Fair was planned by HCPA Counseling Department. “Our goal for the event is to expose our students to careers that match their areas of interest,” said College and Scholarship Manager Toni Marie O’Daniel. “Once exposed, students can then research the best college. The best college may be in Minnesota or out-state and it is important that they pick the one that will help them achieve their career goals.”

Hmong College Prep Academy is located at 1515 Brewster Street in St. Paul, just southeast of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. HCPA provides free tuition, breakfast, lunch and bus transportation for all students. For more information or directions, interested parents and students can call 651-209-8002 or online at hcpak12.org. The school is currently enrolling students for the 2017-2018 school year.
